About LiveMusicNYC
LiveMusicNYC connects New York's musicians, venues and fans in one place, and books shows in advance so the night pays before the first note.
New York runs on live music, but most of the people making it can't make a living from it. Bands play for the door, for tips, or for free. Venues guess at turnout, over- or under-staff, and pay for promotion that doesn't fill the room.
Sell the room before the night. Every show has a number of advance tickets that confirms it. When fans get there, the show is on and the band's share is already in the bank. If they don't, everyone is refunded and nobody loses a night.
Fans never pay a fee to use LiveMusicNYC. Artists see the ticket price, the room and their share before they say yes. Venues see real numbers, so they stock and staff for the crowd that's actually coming.
We're starting with a handful of rooms in nine neighbourhoods across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. The data from real nights will shape what comes next, including smarter ways to match artists, rooms and fans.
